✨ Features
Core features include: task management with priorities, calendar view and scheduling, AI-powered scheduling, Google Calendar sync, Google Classroom integration, focus/Pomodoro timer, goal tracking, and analytics.
The focus timer uses the Pomodoro technique by default (25 min work, 5 min break), but you can customize intervals. During sessions, distractions are minimized and your focus time is tracked for analytics.
Yes! You can set work sessions from 5-90 minutes and break sessions from 1-30 minutes. Some students prefer 50/10 or even 90/20 intervals for deep work.
The assignment hub is a dedicated view showing all your assignments organized by due date, class, priority, or status. It pulls from both Google Classroom and manually created tasks.
Yes! Create tasks that repeat daily, weekly, monthly, or on custom schedules. Perfect for "weekly reading" or "daily review" habits.
Yes, you can break down tasks into subtasks. This is great for larger assignments like "Research paper" → "Find sources" → "Create outline" → "Write draft".
Yes, each task can have notes attached. While Centauri isn't a full note-taking app, you can add important details, links, or reminders to any task.
Set goals like "Study 20 hours this week" or "Complete 10 focus sessions". Centauri tracks your progress and shows how you're doing toward each goal.
Yes! The calendar shows all your events, tasks, and scheduled study time in day, week, or month views. It syncs with Google Calendar bidirectionally.
Absolutely. Tasks can be marked as High, Medium, or Low priority. The AI scheduler takes priority into account when suggesting when to work on things.
🤖 AI & Scheduling

Yes! The AI makes suggestions, but you're always in control. Drag blocks to reschedule, extend or shorten them, or dismiss suggestions entirely.
Yes, the AI adapts over time. It learns when you prefer to study, how long you typically work on different task types, and when you're most productive.
AI scheduling is optional. You can disable it in settings and manually schedule everything yourself. The rest of Centauri works great without it.
The AI works backward from deadlines to ensure you have enough time to complete tasks. It will suggest starting earlier for larger assignments and warn you about potential conflicts.
Yes! Mark exams as events and the AI will suggest study sessions leading up to the date, spacing them out for better retention (spaced repetition).
Centauri uses a combination of proprietary scheduling algorithms and large language models. The AI is continuously improving based on research and user feedback.
Yes! In settings, you can indicate when you're most alert (morning/afternoon/evening). The AI will schedule demanding tasks during your peak hours.

🔧 Troubleshooting
Try disconnecting and reconnecting your Google account in Settings → Integrations. Make sure you've granted calendar permissions. If issues persist, check our Help Center.
First, verify you're signed into the correct Google account. Then check that you're enrolled in the classes you expect to see. Try refreshing the connection in Settings.
Try clearing your browser cache (for web) or reinstalling the mobile app. If you have thousands of completed tasks, archiving old items can help performance.
Check: 1) Notifications are enabled in Centauri settings, 2) Browser/phone notifications are allowed, 3) Do Not Disturb mode is off, 4) The app has background refresh enabled.
Check your internet connection. Changes sync in real-time. If offline, changes save locally and sync when you reconnect. If the issue persists, try logging out and back in.
Try resetting your password via the login page. If using Google sign-in, make sure you're using the correct Google account. Contact support if you're still locked out.
Sessions must complete fully to be tracked. If you close the tab/app mid-session, it won't save. Check that the timer tab stays active (some browsers pause background tabs).
The AI learns over time. Help it by: setting accurate task durations, maintaining your calendar accurately, and providing feedback on suggestions. You can reset AI learning in settings.
Use the feedback button (?) in the app, or email support@gocentauri.com. Include what happened, what you expected, your device/browser, and screenshots if possible.
Yes! Check status.gocentauri.com for real-time system status, scheduled maintenance, and incident history.
